The Greenbelt campground is known for its safety, affordability ($16), peaceful surroundings, and National Park Service hospitality. Reservations are not taken, but this weekend typically has lots of availability. RV's are welcome; however, there are no electrical or water hookups available. Cherry Hill Park a commercial campground provides greater amenities (and prices) on Cherry Hill Road, where it crosses over the beltway.
